LimbPower
Living life without limbs

LimbPower was launched in November 2009 to engage amputees and individuals with limb impairments in physical activity, sport and the arts to improve their quality of life and to aid lifelong rehabilitation.

LimbPower work with the amputee and limb different community to support individuals - adults and children - back into activity post impairment or to support them on the start of their physical activity and sport journey. Our team offer advocacy support through our Physical Activity Advisers and staff, access to information through our resources, infographics and websites and access to activity through our workshops and participation events.

We also work with many other sports and provide advice and guidance on how to engage more people with a physical impairment into physical activity and sport. LimbPower have a number of sporting partners who we work with, specifically to provide opportunities for participation. They are Para-Dance UK, Tennis Foundation, British Wheelchair Basketball, Sitting Volleyball, British Weightlifting, British Gymnastics, British Cycling England Athletics, British Athletics, Sailing and British Nordic Walking.

Finding a sport or activity that you like and can take part in locally can be quite daunting so LimbPower run multi sports events as well as sport specific events where people can come along and try a new activity in a safe and fun environment.

If you wish to find an opportunity locally to you then please follow the link Find a Sport this will guide you through the process on how to find a sport to suit your impairment or to find a local club.
