Mental Health First Aid England
Improving the mental health of the nation

A community interest company established in 2009, MHFA England’s network of instructor members deliver mental health awareness and skills training into organisations and communities across England, reaching almost 400,000 people so far.

MHFA England aims to help everyone to develop the skills to look after their own and others' wellbeing and reduce the stigma associated with mental ill health. It is part of a global community and 2.6 million people have taken MHFA courses worldwide.

The range of tailored courses include Adult, Youth, Higher Education and Armed Forces MHFA. Each two day course qualifies participants as Mental Health First Aiders, while shorter one day and half day courses raise mental health awareness and promote skills to support someone who might be experiencing a mental health issue.

MHFA England is a member of Social Enterprise UK and the MHFA England Instructor Training programme is accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health.
